Washburn Volleyball Booster Club
The Washburn Volleyball Booster Club is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of the Washburn Volleyball Booster Club is to promote positive parent and community involvement in support of the Millers Volleyball athletic program. This involvement consists of both volunteer service and the financial support required to foster the development of our student-athletes and maintain a high-quality athletic program.
Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) provides funds for only the varsity and junior varsity team head coaches, but at a minimal level. There are no district funds available to pay for additional coaches. To develop and maintain a strong, competitive volleyball tradition at Washburn, extra funds are needed to hire coaches for the other teams along with training equipment and supplies. Booster funds are also used to sponsor events such as Senior Night and the end-of-season awards banquet.
